Those who wanted to apply for a student visa had to score no lower than 5.5 on the IELTS; however, as of March 23, 2024, that minimum will rise to 6.0. Students who want to apply for a Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485) now need to have a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 rather than 6.0.
